All Scripture Advocate
Synopsis
Daily Devotion Every word of Scripture is God-breathed. However, it is not always easy to find something from Scripture applicable to day-to-day life. All Scripture Advocate's daily reading guide will help you read through the entire Bible in one year. It also provides at least one principle from each day's Bible reading that will be "profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." You may agree or disagree with what you read in this book. The point of the daily commentary is not its theological "rightness" (although the author has endeavored to be scripturally accurate). The point is to facilitate and provoke biblical discussion. So, if you disagree with All Scripture Advocate's commentary, that's OK-so long as you allow Scripture to be the basis of your disagreement, not your upbringing, your denomination, or your philosophical picture of God over and against Scripture's depiction of God. Reading the Entire Bible in Fifteen Minutes per Day By following the guide in All Scripture Advocate, all of Scripture can be read in the course of one year-in as little as fifteen minutes per day.
Author Biography
Robert E. Clayton
Every year since 1984, Rob Clayton has been reading through all of Scripture. He was ordained by Christ's Covenant Church in Front Royal, Virginia, in 1997. The Federation of Reformed Churches recognized his ordination in 1999. The author's hope is that this commentary will encourage others to read the only infallible source of truth available to mankind, recognizing that saving knowledge of Scripture is an exercise of submission, not a byproduct of scholarship. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:8-10).
