Synopsis

The Way, Truth and life; Vines and Branches; Mt. 5:28 and Jn. 3:3… This book is not intended for preachers as a sample collection of sermons, though Part II does offer fifteen short homilies actually preached in parishes. Rather, the author aims at readers interested in a personal spirituality that is Christ-centered and Bible-based.
Author Biography
Vincent John Fecher
Vincent John Fecher was a seminary professor for ten years in Chicago and in Manila, Philippines. Another decade was devoted to office work in Rome and serving on Sundays in a Roman parish. In addition to his seminary training, he holds a master's of philosophy from Catholic University of America and a master's of gerontology from Trinity University, and earned two doctorate degrees in Rome – in church history and philosophy, from Gregorian University and Angelicum University, respectively. After two terms as secretary general of the Society of the Divine Word, doing occasional work for the Vatican (working for Justice and Peace, Propaganda Fide, and the Bishop's Synods of 1967. 1969, and 1971), the author returned to the United States, where he served in various parishes of the Archdiocese of San Antonio for twenty-five years before his retirement. Also the author of The Lord and I and Man, Woman and God, Monsignor Fecher continues to be active in ministry.
